Collation: Parchment, fol. 99 (paginated 1-198); 18 (stubs only) 28(-1,2) 3-138 148(-2-7) 158(-4-8) 162 (stubs only).
Layout: Written in 39 long lines; ruled in brown pen.
Script: Written in cursiva anglicana formata.
Decoration: Initial letter of each line touched in red; alternating red and blue couplet marks.
Origin: Written in England (dialect indicates southwest Lincolnshire) in the 2nd half of the 14th century.
Former owner: Timothy Neve.
Former owner's inscription: Mr. Neve secretary of the Gentlemen's society in Peterboro presents this ancient but imperfect manuscript to ye society. It consists of seven books in English missing the greate part of ye first book lost and part of ye last ..."
