Collation: Parchment, fol. iii (modern paper) + 67 + iii (modern paper); 112 212 (-1) 3-412 5-610 , 5-68, 7-86, 98; modern foliation in pencil, right margin recto; catchwords in lower margins of final versos. Layout: Written in 2 columns of 45-50 lines; ruled; prickings fol. 48-56. Script: Written in brown and black ink by five scribes in gothic and semi-cursive book-hand: scribe 1, fol. 1r-9v; scribe 2, fol. 9v-45r; scribe 3, fol. 45r-47r; scribe 4, fol. 48-57r; scribe 5, fol. 58-67v. Decoration: Red underlining, text capitals touched red fol. 9v-12, blank spaces and guideletters for decorated initials. Accompanying materials: With slip of paper with an inscription similar to the title on the spine, probably instructions to the binder, and a slip of paper with a 19th century description in French. Origin: Southern France indicated by the scripts and a trimmed note on fol.57v beginning "... a domina jacoba valaraugue uxor quondam R' valaraugue ..." and ending "... datus 14 kalendas julii anno xxo" (i.e. 18 June [14]20), referring to Valleraugue in the Cévennes in southern France, dated to July anno xx.
