Collation: Paper (3 different watermarks: fol. 1-48, 87-97, and 124-125, fleur-de-lys, cf. Briquet, 7251; fol. 49-85, tête de boeuf, cf. Briquet, 14223; fol. 98-102, letter W, cf. Briquet, 9173), fol. 125 ; 1-612 714 (-5, stub only) 812 96 (-6) 108 1114 (-14, 13 should follow 9) 122 ; horizontal catchwords visible on some quires.
Layout: Written in 25 long lines beginning on the first ruled line; ruled in hard point and pencil.
Script: Written in gothic cursiva media; headings in violet in script of text.
Decoration: Initials of the odes and sections of the Periegesis in red, many omitted; guide letters for the rubricator throughout; a modern hand has filled in many of the missing initials in pencil, and on fol. 82r an initial had been added in modern yellow; initials of each line of verse washed in yellow; fol. 8v, initial of each line of verse touched in red.
Origin: Written in France in the 2nd half of the 15th-century.
Former owner's inscriptions: fol. 125r, on a single remounted fragment of paper is written in a hand of 17th- or 18th-century, "88 12m r.o. bein complet," "124" added by a later hand. On another remounted fragment "4719" is written in an 18th-century hand. - Keyword:
