Briquet, 14938), outer bifolio of each quire is parchment, fol. 80; 1-108; catchwords in large scrolls. Layout: Written in 39-35 long lines; frame ruled in lead. Script: Written in secretary cursiva media. Origin: Written in England in the middle of the 15th century. Fol. 80v note of scribe "Jhesu Maria, Helpe me, Amen." Decoration: Initials 8 lines high, blue with red flourishes; similar smaller flourished initials throughout. Shelfmark fol. 80v "No. 4." Signature on slip mounted on inside of back cover: W A T Amherst June 1889. Label with signature of A. Andrews, dated June 1889. Bookplate: Wilfred Merton, 1920. Armorial bookplate: William Constable, Esquire. Armorial bookplate (of William, Baron Amherst) with motto: Victoria concordia crescit. Offered for sale by Bernard Quaritch, catalogs 321 (December 1912), item no. 24, and 344 (June 1916), item no. 19; Sold at Wilfred Merton's death in 1957 to Martin Breslauer, catalog 90 (1958) item no. 24; Purchased by John F.
