Collation: Parchment, fol. 138 ; 1-1012 1112(-11-12) 1210(-9-10) ; quires numbered 1-12 in arabic numerals on upper left corner of the first leaf.
Layout: Written in 22 long lines; ruled in crayon, double boundary lines; prickings in outer margins of some folios.
Script: Written in cursiva anglicana media; running marginal headings added by a later hand, partially trimmed.
Decoration: fol. 1r: flourished initial extends into a full border; blue initials with red flourishes at the beginning of each statute; alternating red and blue paragraph marks throughout.
Origin: Written in England, certainly after 1297, date of the confirmation of Magna Carta by Edward I, probably in the early 14th century, possibly for a lawyer as a pocket reference copy.
Signature, 15th century, fol. 118v: Thomas Bruere.
Unidentified armorial bookplate, partially removed.
