Layout: Written in 14 long lines; frame-ruled; prickings in outer margin. Script: Written in gothic and gothic cursive. Decoration: Initials in red or blue throughout; some pen-flourished; small hand-colored woodcuts pasted onto leaves 19 and 29; stub before leaf 160 has portion of (woodcut?) black frame with yellow color. Origin: Written in approximately 1467 in Nuremberg for Sigmund Ortel. Signed by Ortel on front paste-down, leaves 3, 43, 66, 138, 174, and back paste-down. Contemporary inscription on leaf 138r: Das puchlein [buchlein?] ist des Sigmund Ortels zu nurebg. wer es fint der gebs wider oder er wirt erhange.
