Consult Briquet, 6269), fol. iii + 230 + 1 (arabic foliation of 15th or 16th century; fol. 1-201, with two leaves foliated 195, begins on fol. 11 and end on fol. 218; fol. 1-230, modern pencil foliation) ; 1-2310 ; catchwords with decorative borders, mostly rectangular.
Layout: Written in 41 long lines beginning on the second ruled line; fol. 11-217 written in 42 long lines beginning on the first ruled line; fol. 226r-228v and 230r-230v: writtein in 49 long lines in 2 columns beginning on the first ruled line; ruled in pen.
Script: Written in Italian hybrida media; fol. 11-217: written in Italian gothic textualis rotunda media incorporating occasional humanistic traits; fol. 226r-228v and 230r-230v: additions written in humanistic cursiva media.
Decoration: Alternatig simple red and blue initials throughout, some initials with red flourishes; additions to the text marked with red paragraph marks; fol. 228r-228v and 230r-230v, additions marked with alternating red and blue paragraph marks.
Origin: Written in Venice, approximately 1450, certainly after January 15, 1434, last date mentioned in the text.
Ducal arms painted within roundels added in late 15th or early 16th century, occasionally covering the marginal notes by the second hand in text 1.
Armorial bookplate: Bibliotheca Laurentii Antonii de Ponte.
Sold by Frederick North to Sir Thomas Phillipps, number "7503" in his collection printed on label pasted on the spine.
