Manuscript leaves. Title supplied by cataloger. Fifteen leaves from a Book of hours each with a border, text segment, and illumination. Five of the miniatures are modern forgeries (possibly 19th century): Annunciation to the Shepherds (leaf 4); The Nativity (leaf 5); Presentation in the Temple (leaf 7); Coronation of Virgin (leaf 13); The Trinity (leaf 15). The forgeries are painted on thick modern vellum with the 15th border and text... Script: Written in gothic textura. Decoration: Fifteen illuminations by at least two medieval illuminators and one modern illuminator: leaf 1: Four Evangelists; leaf 2: Annunciation; leaf 3: Visitation; leaf 4: Annunciation to the Shepherds; leaf 5: Nativity ; leaf 6: Adoration of the Magi; leaf 7: Presentation in the Temple; leaf 8: Flight to Egypt; leaf 9: Virgin and Child with Patron Portrait; leaf 10: Office of the Dead... Origin: Written in France, probably in Rouen, at the end of the 15th century. Each leaf attached to protective board and place in a box with three leaves to a box.
