Layout: Written in 29 lines in two columns (quire 2 ruled for and written in 25 lines); ruled in lead point.
Script: Written in Italian gothic textualis bt several hands with occasional evidence of humanistic influence; ink varies from brown to very black.
Decoration: fol. 1, pink, blue, and green initials, historiated with what appears to be David holding a psaltery, 7 lines high; bracket floral border in same colors, in lower margin a cherub astride an erased olive wreath intended for a coat of arms; fol. 1 (second numerical sequence), magenta, blue, and green initial, historiated with a half length portrait of the Virgin(?) holding a book, 7...
Origin: Written in central Italy, the decoration suggests in or near Florence, approximately 1463-1465, dates cited in calendrical tables.
Erased colophon in red ink under second column, fol. 358v, illegible under ultraviolet light.
Contemporary ex libris "Iste liber est mei Silvestrie Ioanis s[er] Francisci de Anglario."
