Layout: Written in 27 long lines beginning on the first ruled line; ruled in hard point. Script: Written in humanistic textualis formata. Decoration: Texts 1 and 2 and each book of text 3 commence with a gold initials with white vine stem decoration on grounds of blue, red, and green accompanied by gold radiating disks 6-8 lines high; fol. 25r: white vine stem decoration extended to form inner border, two putti bear arms with a decorative pattern in lower margin accompanied by floral decoration of different hues than those of... Origin: Written in the middle of the 15th century by Masullus in the Castel dell'Ovo in Naples for the library of King Alfonso the Magnanimous, King of Naples and Aragon, signed on fol. 229, "... laus tibi summe pater atque fili Quique procedis simul ex utroque Spiritus sancte deus unus idem Laus tibi semper Praecipiti ventus quum strauit turbine malos Et summa evertut classis carchesia regis... In 1858, in the library of Don Miguel de Mayora, Vice-Consul of Mexico in Barcelona, recirded by Volger, "Plato's Republik."
