Collation: Parchment, fol. 272 (original arabic foliation in red); 1-348 (quires numbered with arabic numerals on lower margin of verso of last folio); catchwords present.
Layout: Written in 35 long lines; ruled in light pen.
Script: Written in humanistic textualis media; Greek added in a different and lighter ink; heading of principal divisions of the book in red in rustic capitals incorporating "Byzantine" elements, notably in the capital M.
Decoration: fol.1r and the beginning of each book except the first: gold initials decorated with white vine stem on grounds of pink, magenta, blue, green, and yellow 8 lines high; fol. 18r, blue initial on gold ground 17 lines high with a piece of green and gold ivy border, decorated with pink flowers; alternating red initials with violet flourishes and blue initials with red flourishes...
Origin: Written in northern Italy in 1445 by Milanus Burrus. "Finis. Per Milanum Burrum 1445." (fol. 244v).
Arms of the Finardi family of Bergamo, fol. 18r, painted over an effaced earlier coat of arms.
Initials "B.R.S.L.R." the "S' written over a triple cross, by an early modern hand, fol. 2r.
