Pasteover corrections on rectos of leaves [11] and [15]; pasteover used to obscure first colophon, with date of 1472, has been removed.
Includes index.
Probably copied from a book of sermons or lives of the saints, as suggested by index entries for saints not discussed in the ms. (from "Agatha" to "Ursula"), and by the number of leaves listed: 429.
Watermark: anchor, similar to Briquet 394, 395.
Possibly the ms. described in the Acta sanctorum of the Société des Bollandistes as "Vita seu legenda trium sororum Mariae Virginis, Maria Jacobi, Mariae Salome," written in French by Carme Jean de Vinette, and later translated into Latin and expanded by Jean Droven, who claimed to have been miraculously healed in 1423 by the two Marys.
Possibly the ms. formerly owned by Queen Christina of Sweden, and now at the Bibliotheca apostolica Vaticana; cf. Bibliotheca bibliothecarum manuscriptorum nova ... / autore R.P.D. Bernardo de Montfaucon. Parisiis : Apud Briasson, 1739, I:16, no. 35; and Bibliotheca hagiographica latina antiquae et mediae aetatis. Bruxelles : Société des Bollandistes, 1992, p. 803, no. 1.
