Generally attributed to Father Alonso de Molina, although similarities in handwriting lead Schwaller and others to believe it may be an early, unrevised translation of the Lectionary by the Franciscan Father Bernardino de Sahagún from the mid-16th century. Note on front endpaper signed by Edward E. Ayer indicates that he purchased the ms. believing it to be a Molina translation of the Lectionary.
