Ms. codex. Title from illuminated title-page (fol. 2a). Physical description: 31 lines per page. Written in small naskh in black ink with use of dark red. Marginal annotations by a maghribī hand (same as the collation statement dated 1108 (in Western numerals) on fol. 131b). This hand also adds the words "ṣallá Allāhu ʻalayhi wa-sallam" between the lines. Fol. 1 and 132 are later additions. Quinions; central bifolio of each quire marked by signs in... Decoration: Illuminated title-page (ʻunwān) on fol. 2a, executed in gold, blue, red, white and black. The panel is defined by a frame in gold outlined in black and divided in two uneven parts. The upper part is occupied by a cartouche bearing the title in white in stylized "kufic" script. The lower part has a scalloped roundel bearing the name of the author on a ground left plain, and corner... Origin: The date of copy is not mentioned. Apparently 14th or 15th century. Ownership statement in the name of Ibrāhīm Aḥmad ..., son of Sulaymān, with impression of a seal on fol. 1b. Acquired by Robert Garrett from the books of Bārūdī, Beirut, 1925.
