The name of the author appears in a note on the same page as "al-Shaykh al-ʻallāmah wa-al-ḥabr al-fahhāmah al-ḥāfiẓ ʻIzz al-Dīn al-Ḥanbalī", and in the opening of the text as "al-Shaykh al-imām al-ʻālim al-ḥāfiẓ al-ʻallāmah ʻIzz al-Dīn Abū Muḥammad ʻAbd al-ʻAzīz ibn Riḍwān ibn ʻAbd al-Ḥaqq al-Ḥanbalī" (fol. 1b; apparently later hand). Written in medium small naskh in black ink with use of red for entries; the text is vocalized. dark cream paper with laid and chain lines visible; some leaves orange/peach. Marginal annotations.
