Ms. codex. Title from title page (fol. 1a). Physical description: 23 lines per page. Written in medium large naskh (professional hand) in black ink with use of red for entries and headings. Thick dark cream paper, hardly translucid, with laid lines and pulp visible; some orange-peach leaves. Between fol. 1 and fol. 2 is a smaller leaf with text on the verso. The quires (mainly quinions) are numbered using Arabic ordinals in the form... Origin: According to colophon, copy completed by ʻAlī ibn ʻAbd al-Raḥmān ibn Maḥmūd on 3 Muḥarram 733 [Sept. 24, 1332], from an autograph copy. The colophon is followed by a copy in the same hand of an audition statement in the name of the author, dated beginning of Dhū al-Qaʻdah 624 [Oct. 1227], probably found by the copyist on his exemplar (fol. 181b-182a).
