Physical description: 17 lines per page. Written in medium small square naskh in black ink with use of red for headings and re-inking. Yāʼ for alif maqṣūrah. Thick, cream paper, glossy, hardly translucid, with pulp and a few lines visible. Catchword on the verso of each leaf. The quires are numbered using Arabic ordinals, in the form "al-Thānī min al-Arbaʻīn" (fol. 9a) or "al-Rābiʻ" (fol...

Inscription in Arabic script on a label pasted on the pastedown of upper cover: "Raqm 344".
Origin: Copied for himself (li-nafsih) by Muḥammad ibn Muḥammad ibn Ayyūb al-Fuwwī(?) ---(?) al-Shāfiʻī al-Qādirī(?), who completed his work on Thursday 25 Shaʻbān 8-2 (Mach reads 852) [Oct. 24, 1448] in the Jāmiʻ al-Azhar (colophon, fol. 30b).
