Ms. codex. Title from title pages (vol. 12, fol. 2a ; vol. 23, fol. 3a). 13 lines per page. Written in medium large naskh in black ink with black circle with a central dot text-stops. Larger script for the headings, written in gold outlined in black. Soft paper, glossy, with pulp and laid and chain lines visible. A few marginal annotations apparently by the same hand as the main text, with commentaries, some ascribed to al-Qāḍī ʻIyāḍ. The text has been collated... Illuminated title-page (unwān) of vol. 12 (fol. 2a) consists of one panel with a medallion on its upper left side, outlined in blue ink with flecks at each corner, in the middle of the left edge, and on the left sife of the medallion. The medallion, outlined in black, has a floral motif in gold and blue on a red ground with a gold border. The central panel is divided in two : the upper... Illuminated title-page (ʻunwān) of vol. 23 (fol. 3a) consists of a panel outlined in blue with flecks radiating from each corner and a group of four dots in the middle of each edge, except the upper one. The panel has a border of a chain motif in gold, blue, red and black. This border also divides the two elements of the panel, with an upper horizontal rectangle with the beginning of the title... Inscription in Arabic script on a label pasted on the upper cover of vol. 12 : "al-Thānī ʻashar min al-Bukhārī". Inscription in Arabic script on a label pasted on the upper cover of vol. 23 : "al-Juz al-thālith wa-al-ʻashrūn min Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī".
