Ms. codex. Title from vol. 1, fol. (i)a. Physical description: 27 to 28 lines per page. Written in small naskh in black ink with use of red. The text is framed within a single blue line. Glazed cream paper with a few lines visible. Collation notes on the margins. Catchword on the verso of each leaf. Modern foliation in pencil using Western numerals and in black ink using Arabic numerals (both omit the first fol.). Decoration: The first two pages of the text in vol. 1 are illuminated, with the text written within cloud-bands (vol. 1, fol. (i)b-1a). Illuminated headpiece (ʻunwān) on the first page of the text of vol. 2 (fol. 1b). The first two pages of the text in vol. 2 have a gold, black and blue frame. Spine label on vol. 1, with inscription in Roman script: "A146/I". Spine label on vol. 2, with inscription in Roman script: "A146/II". Origin: Copied by Ḥasan ibn Muṭahhar ibn Ḥusayn al-Ḥusaynī al-ḥāfiẓ, al-mulaqqab bi-Jalāl al-Suyūṭī(?). Copy of vol. 1 completed on 15 Dhū al-Qaʻdah 839 [May 1436] and copy of vol. 2 completed on 11 Rabīʻ al-Awwal 831(?) [Dec. 1427] (colophon vol. 1, fol. 398b ; vol. 2, fol. 383b).
