Verses of poetry on the virtues of knowing the Quran by heart attributed to al-Shaykh Ghānim al-Mudarrisī on fol. (iii)a. Catchword on the verso of each leaf. Modern foliation in pencil using Western numerals (this record follows this faulty foliation). Inscription in Arabic script on... Mention of the dates of birth and death of the author at the end of the text by the same hand as the main text (fol. 243a). Several short prayers and ḥadīth on fol. 243b-244b. On fol. 244b, note refering to Abū al-Hadī and others, with mention of the date 9 Shaʻbān 1010 [January 3, 1602 Copy completed on a Tuesday in [Dhū] al-Qaʻdah 965 (colophon, fol. 243a). A note after the colophon written by another hand indicates that this copy was collated in the Masjid al-Ḥarām with al-Shaykh ʻAlāʼ al-Dīn ibn Muḥammad al-Baʻlbakī on 13 Jumādá II 966 [March 23, 1559]. Two ownership statements on fol. (iii)a: ʻUthmān Afandī, with seal ; Aḥmad Najīb ibn Aḥmad Ṭāhir, dated 17 S[haʻbān or Shawwāl?] [12]81 [1865]. Two ownership statements on fol.
