Ms. codex. Title from fol. 1a. Title on the lower edge of text block: Mukhtaṣar Sharḥ al-Mūnāwī ʻalá al-Shamāʾil al-Sharīfah lil-Ṭalyāwī. 30 lines per page. Written in small casual naskh in brown ink with use of red for rubrication. European glazed paper. Catchwords on the verso of each folio. Modern foliation in pencil using Western numerals. Ms. additions: Inscription on fol. 93a-b, dated 1214 (1799), contains a supplication regarding the founding of a madrasah in a building, situated in "the middle of the garden in a place known as al-Junaynah al-Jadīdah", and bought from a certain Hājj Khalīl Afandī, the khaṭīb of [the mosque of] Khālid ibn Zayd Abū Ayyūb al-Anṣārī (the Eyüp Sultan Cami and medrese in Istanbul?). Originally acquired by Robert Garrett from Abraham Shalom Yahuda ; 1942.
