Origin: Produced in Greece or Asia Minor. Detached from University of Chicago, Ms879. The undated colophon on leaf 110r of University of Chicago, Ms879 identifies the scribe as the Reader Konstantinos Theologites: "eteleiōth[ē] to par[on] eua[ngelion] dia cheiros Kōnstant[i]n[ou] anag[nōstou] tou theologētē". Two other detached leaves from this codex have been identified: McGill University Ms...
Layout: Written in 2 columns of 28 to 29 lines; ruled in drypoint (ruling type II,1b in Lake, K. Dated Greek miniscule manuscripts to the year 1200).
Script: Written in a miniscule hand in dark brown ink. Punctuation includes high point, low point, and double point, comma, marks of interrogation and elision. Cross for full stop.
Decoration: Initial on verso in red set off from text and embellished with foliate and knot motif. Lesson heading on verso highlighted in yellow.
