Collation: Paper, ii (20th-century paper) + 30 (foliated 1-30 in 20th-century pencil) + ii (20th-century paper); 1-210 310(-9,10) 42; catchword on fol. 20v.
Layout: Fol. 1r-24r written in 32 long lines; frame ruled. Fol. 24v-28v written in 2 columns of 29-33 lines, above line; frame ruled. Fol. 29v-30v written in 24 long lines; frame ruled.
Script: Written in 3 distinct scripts, probably by different scribes. Script 1 on fol. 1-24r: clear, well-rounded Gothic miniscule, with usual Latin contractions and almost devoid of punctuation. Script 2 on fol. 24v-28v: clear Gothic hand, neater and more elegant, slightly more angular, with full use of punctuation marks. Script 3 on fol. 29v-30v: legible Gothic hand, formed of larger and...
Decoration: Titles, headings, 2-line initials, and rubrications in red.
Binding: Binding: 20th-century quarter orange morocco with black and orange marbled paper over boards. Rebound in 1969 by the Horton Bindery; binder's signature on 2nd rear flyleaf. Paper repairs to lower margin of fol. 1 and fol. 30.
Origin: Monastic, probably from Rhineland region, based on scripts. Has large watermark ("three mounts" surmounted by a long angular cross) of same type as Briquet 11804, 11808, and 11811, which points to paper manufactured in area between Bamberg and central Austria during last quarter of 15th century.
