Layout: Written in 2 columns of 31 to 36 lines; ruled in lead.
Script: Gothic semitextualis libraria, heavily abbreviated, on fol. 1-225r; fol. 226v-228r in larger cursiva currens, added by a later scribe.
Decoration: Red initials (2- to 4-line) with guide letters.
Binding: Manuscript waste sewn between fol. 144 and 145. Bound in 20th-century tan cloth over boards; paper spine label with title: "Homily and other minor works"; binder's signature: "Sky Meadow, 9-1991." Origin: Possibly from a Franciscan monastic house in Pisa, due to Franciscan hymns copied at end of book in a later hand. De Ricci suggests Germany. Watermarks indicate a Northern Italian origin for the paper and a mid- to late-14th century date of manufacture. Possible date give in top outer corner of fol. 227r in second scribe's hand: "1396."
Notes in a later humanistic hand on fol. 119v, 123v, 208r, and 218v. Manicule on fol. 166r. Title written in ink by a former owner, possibly in the 18th century, on the front flyleaf verso: "Homilie liber et alia opuscula."
