Layout: Written in 31 long lines; ruled in drypoint. Script: Written in a cursive script by what appears to be a single hand. Decoration: Diagrams (f. 84v, 85v, 86r, 86v); manicules (for example, f. 1v, 3r). Binding: Contemporary limp vellum leaf from a music manuscript, most likely containing the notation for the religious motet, Tribus miraculis. Origin: Written in Italy in the second half of the 16th century. Purchased, 1992. Written on the recto of the front flyleaf: Pertinet ad Capistrani Locum. A loose slip of paper containing a short, fragmentary text in Italian has been inserted. It appears to be contemporary with the text.
