Binding: original wooden boards and half-leather binding, with rough nails. Fragments of a metal clasp.
Script: Fair copy in a fine, clean, well-rounded, Italian "humanist" minuscule; written in brown ink, in a single unidentified hand.
Layout: Written in long lines. Caption titles at the beginning of each of the three books, written in red ink. Spaces left for decorated initials have not been filled. No index or table of contents.
The inside front cover has the following note, written in ink: "Leonardi arrentini de primo bello punico / Thome de Vincentiis de Fano 1560." Purchased by the University of Chicago from S. Calvary & Co. in 1891. - Keyword:
