Origin: Written in Italy in the 15th century (Zacour-Hirsch).
Title supplied by cataloger (Zacour-Hirsch).
Foliation: Paper, iii (19th-century paper) + 150 + ii (19th-century paper); [1-150] modern foliation in pencil, upper right recto.
Layout: Written in 39 long lines; ruled in ink and lead.
Binding: 19th-century leather with gold stamped coat of arms with the motto "Esse quam videri" on upper and lower covers.
Decoration: Alternating red and blue used for initials and paragraph markers.
Script: Written in a Gothic cursive script by 2 different hands (f. 1r-139v, 139v-149v).
Sold by Thomas Thorpe in 1836 (no. 58) to Sir Thomas Phillipps; Phillipps ms. 9471.
