Incipit regula Sancti Augustini (f. 1r).
Foliation: Parchment, iii (18th-century paper) + 28 + vii (18th-century paper); [1-28]; modern foliation in pencil, lower right recto.
Layout: Written in 21 long lines; ruled in ink.
Script: Written in a Gothic book script by a single hand. Marginal notes and corrections in other, later hands, some notations have been trimmed.
Decoration: Illuminated initial A in gold, green, and pink (f. 1r); 2-line initials colored in green, blue, and pink throughout; red ink used for translations.
Binding: 18th-century calf. Spine is cracked along front cover, which is nearly detached.
Origin: Written in northeast France in the 15th century (Zacour-Hirsch).
Formerly owned by M. Swartzwelder, January 1, 1859, Pittsburgh (flyleaf, iii recto).
