Origin: Written in Italy, ca. 1500. Leaf with date 1466 (f. 48r) is a later replacement.
Binding: Green vellum.
Decoration: Illuminated initials in red, green, blue, pink and gold (f. 1r, 33v, 62r); initials in red or blue.
Script: Written in 2 humanistic hands, items 1-3 in first hand; item 4 in a second hand, with headings and marginal notations in several later hands, in Latin and Italian.
Ms. codex.
Title and attribution for item 1 in a different hand from text (f. 1r).
Item 2 heading (f. 33v): Leonardi Aretini prefatio in libro Basilii Magni Greci incipit feliciter.
Item 3 heading (f. 48r, later addition): Leonardus Aretinus illustri D.D. Baptistinae de Malatestis.
Item 4 heading (f. 62r): Prestantissimi viri Leonardi Aretini Isagogicon moralis disciplinae galeotum ricasolanum feliciter incipit, f. 62r, in a different hand from the text.
Foliation: Paper; i (modern paper) + 77 + i (modern paper); [1-77]; modern foliation in pencil, upper right recto.
Layout: Written in 25 long lines (Items 1-3) and 27 long lines (Item 4); ruled in drypoint.
