European paper with watermark; glossy. Ḥāshiyah on the margin. Note mentioning the number of leaves on the margin of the colophon (fol. 167b). Foliation in black ink using Arabic numerals (starting with "1" on fol. 8a). Collation: paper, fol. i, 170, i ; i (fly-leaf, fol. 1 in the modern foliation) 110 (-1 at beginning of quire ; + 2 added leaves at beginning of quire) 2-1610 1710 (-1 at end of quire) i (fly-leaf) ; catchword on the verso of each leaf. Inscription in Arabic script on a label pasted on the upper cover: "455". Inscription in Arabic script on a label pasted on the pastedown of the upper cover: "1222/2 Ḥ". Origin: According to colophon, copy completed by Ḥusayn ibn Maḥmūd on a Thursday in the middle of Rabīʻ al-Awwal 1028 [Feb. 28 1619] (fol. 167b, followed by verses of poetry). Ownership statements on fol. 1a (later added fly-leaf) and fol. 4a (with impression of a stamp). Erased large stamp (450 mm; apparently waqf stamp) on several leaves (see fol. 93a and 151a).
