Title from preamble (fol. 10b, l. 23-24). The name of the author appears at the beginning of the text.
Physical description: 23 lines per page. Written in black and red ink. Headings in larger script with re-inking in red. Light biscuit paper with laid and chain lines and pulp visible. Marginal annotations. Fol. 1-8 and 333 [332 in the modern foliation] are later additions of glazed European paper with watermark, with a table of contents on fol. 1a-8a. Three spine labels (vertical), one with a red border, with the title in Arabic script, reading "Qunyat al-munyah lil-Zāhidī" ; the scond bordered in blue, with the inscription in Roman script: "R3" (repeated on a similar label pasted on the pastedown of the upper cover, and in red pencil on fol. 1a) ; the third almost completely wanting.
Origin: Copy completed in Rajab 823 [July-Aug. 1420] by Najm al-Jalālī(?) al-Bukhārī (colophon, fol. 333b [332b in the modern foliation]).
