25 lines per page. Written in medium small naskh in black ink with use of red. Ḥāshiyah on the margins. Fol. 3 is pasted on the next folio. Modern foliation in pencil using Western numerals (first fly-leaves with inscriptions are counted fol. 1-3). Inscription in Arabic script on a label pasted on the upper cover: "Uṣūl thānī 55".
Copy completed on Friday 29 Jumādá al-Awwal 737 [January 3, 1337]. Copy of the mamlūk Āqbughābākī Ibn ʻAbd Allāh al-Malikī al-Nāṣīrī (colophon, fol. 205a).
Collation: Paper, fol. ii, 203, i ; iii (fly-leaves, with inscriptions ; fol. iii is pasted on the first fol. of the first quire) + 110 2-1910 2010 (+2, fol. 194 and 205 + i ; catchword on the verso of each leaf, except central bifolio of each quire ; the quires are numbered using Arabic ordinals, in the form "thānī" (see fol. 14a).
Two ownership statements, one signed ʻUthmān Hadī ibn Muṣṭafá (fol. 1a), the other signed Nūḥādīʹzādah(?), with seal reading "al-Sayyid Aḥmad Nūrī" (fol. 3a). Seal on fol. 204a. Acquired from Abraham Shalom Yahuda, 1942.
