Origin: Written in France (Avignon?) in the late 14th to early 15th century.
Title from spine: "Bullae St. Pontificum."
Binding: 17th- or 18th-century French mottled calf over pasteboards, with gilded arms of the Lamoignon family. The leather is worn away at the hinges. Front cover board is almost completely detached. Leather is crumbly in places. Spine is deteriorating and separating from the binding in places.
Script: Written in a Gothic cursive script.
Collation: Paper, ii + 276 + v; [ii], 1¹⁶, 2-10¹², 11-17¹⁶, 18¹⁴, 19¹², 20¹⁶, [v]; 1-124, 193-314; contemporary (probably original) foliation in brown ink, upper right recto; (loss of 68 folios from f. 124 to f. 193 due to a later rebinding); 1-276; near contemporary foliation in red ink, upper right recto.
