17 lines per page. Written in a small naskh in black ink with use of red for rubrication. Text is written in two columns, inside a frame, both in gold leaf outlined in black ink. Catchwords on the verso of each leaf. Glazed dark cream paper with visible chain lines.
Ownership statement on fol. 1a, accompanied by a stamp, in the name of Mehmet Emin ibn Mahmut Efendi, dated 1238 (1822-23).
An inscription and a stamp with the name of Mahmut, dated 25 of Dhū al-Ḥijjah 1188 (1775), on fol. 2a.
Originally acquired by Robert Garrett from Abraham Shalom Yahuda ; 1942.
