Ms. composite codex. Title from fol. 1a (later addition in pencil). All texts are written in same hand, in small ruqʻah in black ink with use of red. 23 lines per page. Catchwords on the verso of each leaf. Glazed European paper with watermarks, some of it left cream, and some stained alternately with yellow and red. Origin: [Müntahabat min münşeât-i] Copied by Ahmet Ratip Harirî Zade, an Imperial Chancery scribe -- text signed Ahmet Ratip -- colophon (fol. 25a). Ownership statement on fol. 1a in the name of es-Seyit el-Hac Ahmet Ratip Harirî Zade, one of the scribes of the Office of the Imperial Chancery, accompanied by his stamp dated 1242 (1826-27). Originally acquired by Robert Garrett from Abraham Shalom Yahuda ; 1942.
