Physical description: 24 lines per page; written in naskh in black mostly on glazed, laid Russian paper. The heavier paper bears the watermarks "A O 1814" and a lion set within an oval that is topped by a crown (similar to 1813 watermark in Z. V. Uchastkina, A history of Russian hand-paper mills and their watermarks, Hilversum 1962, no. 582), while on the thinner paper are the watermarks "A O...
Origin: Text 3 completed on 28 Dhū al-Qaʻdah 1229 H [11 November 1814] by Abdülvahid ibn-i Süleyman Ahunde oǧlu in Saint Petersburg (fol. 172a). After the colophon another note is inscribed giving the date according to the "Roman" calendar as 29 October 1814.
On fol. 207b, waqf notice of Tarhan Mulla Mehmet Amin Han Temirov in the Çutay Medrese [possibly referring to Chutay in the modern Republic of Tatarstan]; his seal, in Arabic and Cyrillic scripts and dated 1840, is found on fol. 13a, 127a, 207b. - Keyword:
