Written in a casual small nastaʻlīq in black ink with use of red for rubrication. Text is written within a gold leaf frame outlined in black ink. Ff. 9b and 10a have a double gold leaf frame and foliage motifs in gold ink within the text, and fol. 9b also has an illuminated head piece in gold leaf and orange, blue and white watercolors. Ff. 5b-8b have a table of contents... Four ownership stamps in the name of Hacı Murat Mehmet Mikakʹzade, with the date 1249 (1833-34), one on fol. 9b, one on fol. 10a, and two after the colophon on fol. 279b. Ownership signatures in the name of Ömer Hoca Molla Murat, one on fol. 3a and several on fol. 9a. Originally acquired by Robert Garrett from Abraham Shalom Yahuda ; 1942.
