Fol. 4 does not correspond to the start of the texts and is probably a misplaced sheet from another ms. Only one side (4b) is written on. Consists of the beginning of table of contents for the Şerh and has the beginning of 'Ayyuhā al-walad' in Ottoman on the margins. Distance between chain-lines on paper of this sheet is 27 mm, and of the rest of the text 20 mm. 15 lines per page. Written in small naskh in black ink with use of red for underlined words and gold leaf for breaks. Main text enclosed in gold leaf frame, dimensions 144 x 75 mm, and the gloss is within a single-line frame ruled in red ink, dimensions 187 x 120 mm. Ff. 1-3 table of contents ruled in gold leaf and written in black and red ink. European glazed paper. Foliation in Arabic... Ownership stamp on fol. 160a reads: "Shaykh Ḥasan".
