Physical description: 23 lines per page; written in small nastaʻliq in black on glazed, laid Arabic paper with chain lines in groups of three. A few leaves are replacements on laid European paper, likely 18th century, including leaves 288-325. Rubrication and catchwords. Mild staining; in excellent condition.
Decoration: On leaf 1b, illuminated ʻunwān in gold and color with title in white, mildly worn. Text framed in gold on leaves 1b-2a.
Origin: Based on paper, likely 16th century.
Acquired by Robert Garrett from Brill, 1925, from the books of Murād Bey al-Bārūdī (Beirut).
