Copied by Ali el-Hilmî, a student of Molla Hüsayn Hilmî, from the island of Chios, and completed in Dhū al-Qaʻdah 1253 (1838) -- colophon (fol. 403a). 25 lines per page. Written in a small ruqʻah in black ink with use of red for rubrication (fol. 403a only is written in a medium small naskh). Text is written inside a frame outlined in two lines of red and one line of blue ink. Fol. 1b-2a have an additional inner frame in gold leaf, fol. 1b has an elaborate head piece (ʻunwān) executed in gold leaf with green, blue, red, black, yellow, orange... Originally acquired by Robert Garrett from Abraham Shalom Yahuda ; 1942.
