Title from fol. 1a.
Fol. 2a has a table of contents for text 1 in black and red ink. Fol. 56a has two columns of verse. Fol. 73b has a crossword-type puzzle with numbers. Fol. 74a has a short inscription in the form of a question and an answer (a fetva?).
Layout; 15-18 lines per page in two columns ; frame-ruled in red or blue ink ; opening spread of first work frame-ruled in gold leaf outlined with black (f. 3b-4a).
Description: All 3 texts are written in small nastaʻlīq in similar hand in black ink with use of red for headings. Catchwords on the verso of each leaf. Paper varies in all three texts, but is mostly light glazed European paper, with some sections of text 3 on dark cream, yellow or brown tinted paper.
Origin: Only text 3 is dated: copied by Hafız Mustafa Safvet Yorganî Zade and completed in Jumādá al-Ākhirah 1232 (1817) -- colophon (fol. 111a). Texts 1 and 2 are probably of an earlier date, possibly by the same copyist, and were later put together with text 3.
Fol. 1a has a very faint ownership statement accompanied by a seal. Originally acquired by Robert Garrett from Abraham Shalom Yahuda ; 1942. - Keyword:
