Physical description: 15 lines per page; written in nastaʻliq in black on glazed, laid European paper. Rubrication and catchwords. Light staining; occasional smudging; ragged edges. Repairs to first leaf. In good condition. Dealer's description pasted to inner front cover.
Decoration: On fol. 1b, modest illuminated ʻunwān in gold and color. On fol. 1b-2a, margins decorated with floral design in gold and color. Text framed in blue, red, and gold with marginal blue border.
Origin: 16 Dhū al-Ḥijjah 1244 [19 June 1829] (fol. 42b).
On fol. ia, "A.K. Donald" and, in smaller writing, "S.J. Tellery Bombay / 21-1-1903 Ed." S.J. Tellery likely refers to the East India trading company by that name. - Keyword:
