Physical description: 25 lines per page; written in nastaʻliq in black by different hands on modern paper. Texts 3 and 4 written in shikastah. Rubrication and catchwords. Light staining and smudging. In excellent condition.
Decoration: Two illuminated ʻunwāns, somewhat amateurish, at the beginning of texts 1 and 2 (fol. 1b, 204b), painted mainly in gold, red-purple, and blue. Basmalah set within a center ellipse; title set within two gold ellipses to either side. In text 1, original poetry is set within two gold ellipses in a band surrounded by a red-purple, blue, and white geometric pattern. Text on fol. 1b-214a...
Origin: Text 1 completed by Muḥammad ibn Jamāl al-Dīn in 1274 H. [1857 or 8] (fol. 203b). Text 2 completed by al-Muttajir [?] ibn Muḥammad on 2 Rajab 12[7]7 H. [14 January 1861] (fol. 213a). Text 3 likely completed not long after text 2.
