Physical description: 23 lines per page; written in nastaʻliq in black on glazed, laid European paper. Arabic text in naskh and overlined in red. Catchwords and a few marginal notes and corrections. Insert between front cover and fol. 1. Some foxing and marginal damp staining. Some paper repairs, resulting in loss of text on fol. 1. Fol. 161 blank, with lacuna in text.
Note of sale on fol. 165b dated 1180 H. [1766 or 7]. Owner's statements and stamp on fol. 1a dated 122-? H. and Shawwāl 1256 H. [November or December 1840]. Owner's statement on fol. 2a dated Rabīʻ al-Thānī 1240 H. [November or December 1824].
