Accompanied by note from Nicholas Martinovitch, dated December 1, 1925, in which ms. is erroneously attributed to Sharaf al-Dīn Muḥammad Ẓāhir al-Dīn Shufurwah; at the bottom is a brief note from Moghadam stating that the author is Athīr. Physical description: 20 lines per page, in two columns; written in small, elegant nastaʻliq in black on cream, glazed, laid Arabic paper. Text bordered by blue, gold, orange, and green lines; columns separated by double gold lines. Catchwords; a few marginal notes. Fol. 68 detached and followed by a lacuna. Extensive damp staining in margins. Decorations: Illuminated ʻunwān in gold and colors on fol. 1b with title in white. Margins of fol. 1b-2a decorated with blue lancets. On fol. 73b, colophon written in white and illuminated with gold and colors. Origin: Copy completed 920 H [1514 or 15] (fol. 73b). Owner's stamps on fol. 68a, 71b. On inner front cover, ex libris of Nicholas N. Martinovitch, dated 1925, N.Y.C.; penciled in below are the initials of Robert Garrett with the date Dec. 1925.
