Physical description: 9 lines per page; written in nastaʻliq in black on tan glazed, laid Arabic paper. Original pages are gold-sprinkled and mounted onto heavy blue paper decorated with a blue and gold floral pattern. Headings and keywords in blue or gold; text and verses framed in gold. Decoration: On fol. 1b, well-executed illuminated ʻunwān in a floral pattern, mainly in gold and blue. Text on fol. 1b-2b set within clouds on gold ground decorated with flowers and leaves. Ms. contains four miniatures, likely by the copyist, Sulṭān Muḥammad al-Harawī .
Origin: The date in the colophon (fol. 96a) has been altered to 660 H. However, the copyist is Sulṭān Muḥammad al-Harawī, a famous artist of the 16th century, making the original date 960 H [1552 or 3]. Likely from Iran.
