Text framed in blue, gold, and orange, with outer marginal gold border. Light staining and smudging; otherwise in excellent condition. Decoration: Lavishly illuminated two-page spread on fol. 1b-2a, consisting of four couplets set within rectangles, on a four-pointed star set upon a large rectangle; executed in a delicate floral pattern in gold, blue, orange, and lavender. Columns separated by a dark blue line filled with a gold foliar pattern; occasionaly the pattern is also on the outer borders of each column where the... Origin: Likely from India, late 19th century.
