Physical description: 25-32 lines per page; written in naskh in black on modern European paper. Overlining in red; catchwords. Topical headings in upper and outer margins. Some cross-outs and corrections. Paginated in Arabic script 1-309, (numbers 310-399 skipped), 400-544. Slight damp staining, some smudging, and some paper repairs; otherwise in excellent condition. Holograph.
Origin: Text completed in the author's hand 24 Jumādá II 133-? H. [part of colophon lost due to paper repairs] (fol. 215a).
On front fly-leaf: Note of acquisition by the Kitābkhānah-i Baḥr al-ʻUlūm dated 1371 H. [1951 or 2].
