Several leaves have paper repairs to margins. Pages discolored and stained; one small break at hinges. Paper bears indistinct watermark. Binding is black paper over pasteboard. Covers decorated with folial arabesques; green end papers. One signature is loosened from spine. Text matches 1819 edition by Silvestre de Sacy (Pend-namêh, ou, le livre des conseils de Férid-Eddin Attar) except for six lines before the final two lines of the published version.
