Page 1 bears 8 owners' stamps and three inscriptions, one of which has been effaced.
Ms. in nastaliq on glazed paper. 18.9 x 12.1 cm. Headings and some marginal notations in red ink. Text arranged in two columns per page. Considerable marginal and interlinear notation. Text unvocalized.
Paper is laid glazed stock. Several leaves have paper repairs to margins. Pages discolored and stained; one small break at hinges. Paper bears indistinct watermark.
Binding is black paper over pasteboard. Covers decorated with folial arabesques; green end papers. One signature is loosened from spine.
Text matches 1819 edition by Silvestre de Sacy (Pend-namêh, ou, le livre des conseils de Férid-Eddin Attar) except for six lines before the final two lines of the published version. - Keyword:
