Origin: This ms. is ca. 1771 according to the date tooled on the slipcase spine. On fol. ixb is a note stating that the ms. has been copied from one in the author's handwriting ("naql-i khaṭṭ-i Ḥaz̤rat Mawlānā Shāh ʻAbd al-ʻAzīz Ṣāḥib Dihlavī ..."); therefore ms. is most likely from India.
Fol. viia bears seal of Muṣṭafá Aḥmad [ibn?] Jamāl ʻAlī and is dated 1217 H [1802 or 1803]. Bookplate bearing an elephant with two flags on fol. xa.
